How to apply for 2016 Indian Coast Guard Yantrik recruitment of engineering diploma candidates

The Indian Coast Guard, Ministry of Defence, invites applications from Indian male candidates for recruitment to the post of Yantrik. The recruitment is for Technical Diploma holders who are between 18 and 22 years of age. The training will begin in August 2016 at INS Chilka and subsequently there will be sea training and professional training programs. Submit your application online by 8th February 2016.

Eligibility requirements for Indian Coast Guard Yantrik posts
1. Age criteria
You should be minimum 18 years and maximum 22 years of age (upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years of OBC category).

2. Educational qualification
You should have completed 3-years Diploma course in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering or an equivalent branch with 60% aggregate.

How to apply
1. Submit your application online at: - opportunities link. Select the advertisement notification for Yantrik 02/2016 batch.

2. Select which post you wish to apply for, from the options provided:
  • Yantrik Technical (Mechanical)
  • Yantrik Technical (Electrical)
  • Yantrik Technical (Electronics and Telecommunication)
3. Read the instructions and click on the button 'I Agree'. The application form will be displayed on your screen. Fill up the details, re-check the information and then click on the 'Submit' button. 

4. You will now get a unique Application/Registration number. Note down this number. 

5. Take a print out of the Admit card for the written test from 20th February to 29th February 2016. Those who have not been selected based on the application submitted will see the message 'Rejection slip giving the cause of rejection with the application number'. 

Documents required 
At the recruitment centre for the written test, you need to bring along with you 3 copies of the application form having the allotted Roll number,  with your latest identical colour photo [10 passport size photos not older than 1 month with blue background] pasted and signed at the bottom of the application form against the space provided for the signature. Also required are all attested documents, namely:
  • 10th class certificate and mark sheet
  • Diploma certificate and mark sheets of all the semesters
  • Caste certificate wherever required
  • Sports certificate if any
  • Proof of identity, such as passport, driving licence, voter ID, Aadhaar card, School/College ID card or any other photo identity card.

Note: Without the application form and requisite documents, you will not be allowed to appear in the written test.
